Part of an ongoing investigation into knots, splices and the creation of knot patterns.

The circle consists of only one slice that is repeated and made from 5 different pieces of string.

Having worked out the technique of how to create such knot patterns after the renaissance original I have now started to create my own knot patterns.

This is a proposal for a large scale installation using rope, knots and splices; as well has having been exhibited
as a screenprint on plywood in the
12 inch group show in 2005
at M+R Gallery in London.
